The process of manufacturing T-shirts, Hoodies, Sweatshirts with acid wash requires treating the fabric with a combination of bleach and muriatic acid. This process effectively removes certain pigments from the fabric, resulting in a faded and worn appearance. After the acid wash treatment, the fabric is much softer to the touch.

Street fashion T-shirts, sweatshirts and Hoodies, which we manufacture with acid and enzyme washing, attain an extraordinary softness. However, the manufacture of high-quality t-shirts with the acid washing process requires the full application of highly sensitive technical knowledge. Otherwise, an acid-washed t-shirt will eventually be obtained, but it will be of promotional (disposable) product quality. In other words, it will be of low quality.

Although 140-160 grams of pure cotton fabric is used in the production of acid wash t-shirts, as Conbello Textile, we use 200-250 grams of pure cotton to achieve the highest quality. It is also extremely important to use the highest quality long fiber 100% cotton fabric.

We use 100% long fiber compact cotton fabric in the production of acid washing high-end T-shirts. The absence of polyester fiber in the fabric is one of the most important technical details. In addition, we use special technical cotton yarn as yarn.

How to make acid wash T-shirt, Hoodie or other garments

Stages of acid wash clothing (clothes such as T-shirts and dresses) manufacturing.

1) In the production of high quality acid (enzyme) wash clothing we always use long fibre 100% compact cotton fabric. The presence of even 3-5% polyester fibres in pure cotton fabric reduces the acid washing quality by 80%.

2 ) The T-shirt is sewn with a special type of technical thread that is resistant to acid washing.

3) During acid washing, shrinkage is calculated and a one size larger product mold is prepared.

4) The t-shirt is first sewn and acid washed.

5) After the acid washing process, it is washed again to remove the acid residues from the t-shirt.

6) Pre-ironing is done to smooth the fabric that has wrinkled during acid (enzyme) washing.

7) After the acid washing process, brand logo prints are applied. However, in the production of sportswear as a standard, brand logo printing is easily applied to the cut fabric first. T-shirt washing instruction labels and woven fabric labels for the T-shirt collar are also sewn at this stage.

8) The final ironing and packaging process is applied for the T-shirt that is crumpled during the brand logo printing process.
